Halloween Floral Workshop in Stowe

Our Halloween Floral Workshop puts a sophisticated spin on Halloween decorating.
Each participant will use a real white pumpkin as the vessel for a loose, garden-inspired floral arrangement. We’ll work with a rich palette of deep reds, burgundy, wine, and unexpected seasonal textures to create something dramatic without feeling overly themed.
During the workshop, we’ll cover the basics of floral design, including creating shape and movement, choosing focal flowers, layering textures, and placing flowers in a way that feels natural rather than overly structured.
You’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind pumpkin floral arrangement ready to display at home for Halloween.
Thanksgiving Centerpiece Workshop

Create the centerpiece for your Thanksgiving table during our Thanksgiving Floral Workshop at Mooring Hill Farm.
This workshop will feature a long, low centerpiece designed in a rustic wooden box, making it ideal for a dining table. Our palette is inspired by late fall in Vermont, with soft peach, salmon, cream, caramel, dusty mauve, muted greens, and natural dried elements.
We’ll work with garden roses, seasonal flowers, eucalyptus, berries, and airy botanical elements to create a centerpiece that feels abundant and organic while still allowing guests to see one another across the table.
Participants will learn how to establish the shape of a centerpiece, combine focal and supporting flowers, create movement, and use foliage and natural elements to make an arrangement feel full without overcrowding it.
You’ll head home with a finished Thanksgiving centerpiece ready for your holiday gathering.
Holiday Wreath Making Workshop

Our annual wreath-making workshop in Stowe is all about creating a holiday wreath that feels personal to you.
Using fresh evergreens and a selection of seasonal and natural materials, participants will build and decorate their own lush wreath from start to finish. We’ll demonstrate how to layer different varieties of greens, create an attractive shape, securely attach materials, and add finishing elements.
The result is a fresh, handcrafted wreath ready to hang on your front door for the holiday season.
No two wreaths need to look alike. We encourage participants to experiment and create something that works with their own home and style.
What to Expect at a Mooring Hill Farm Workshop
Our floral workshops are intended to be creative and approachable, not intimidating. You do not need any previous floral-design experience.
We provide the flowers or greenery, vessel when applicable, mechanics, tools, and instruction. Rather than requiring everyone to make an identical arrangement, we teach the fundamentals and give participants room to make their design their own.
