At Mooring Hill Farm, we believe in the simple joy of picking your own fresh flowers straight from the field. Whether you’re searching for the perfect bouquet for a special occasion, a unique gift, or just want to brighten your home with nature’s beauty, our cut-your-own flower farm offers an unforgettable experience for all ages.
How It Works
Visit Mooring Hill Farm
We’re located at 101 Fishkill Lane in Morrisville, VT (use Google Maps)
Stop in the White Shed (door may be closed, but c’mon in!)
Grab a mason jar, some water, and a pair of snips.
Head to the field by taking a right out of the shed and follow the gravel driveway to the rows.
Simply cut what you love and create your own bouquet!
Return to the White Shed to pay and wrap your blooms.
We charge $30.00 for whatever you can fit in the mason jar. Leave the jar and snips and slide your stems into a Mooring Hill Farm kraft paper sleeve.
Traveling far? Wrap the cut stems in a wet, biodegradable paper towel and baggie before leaving.
Want to take your jar with you? Just add $4 to your payment.
We accept cash (exact change, please), VT check or Venmo.
What you will cut
Our field blooms with a vibrant variety of seasonal flowers, including: zinnias, cosmos, cleome (careful of thorns!), marigolds, flowering dill, gomphrena, ageratum, verbena, and snapdragons. sunflowers and dahlias are coming soon! Check out the field map here.
As of August 7th the following are in bloom: dianthus, marigolds, zinnias, cosmos, chocolate cosmos, ageratum, dill, gomphrena, cleome, snapdragons, and verbena.
How to cut
The longer the stem, the better!
Cut stems 8–10 inches or longer whenever possible.
Cut deep into the plant to encourage strong new blooms.
Remove the lower leaves. It lets you fit more in the jar and keeps your water clean.
Long stems make arranging your flowers much easier at home.

Tips: Wear comfortable (waterproof) shoes, bring a hat and sunscreen, and don’t forget your camera (be sure to tag us!).
We love dogs too but ask that you leave your pup at home.
